Local Wine Bar Celebrates 20th Anniversary this Week
Local Wine Bar Celebrates 20 Years of Wine, Community, and Tradition
This local wine bar, Copa Wine Bar proudly celebrates 20 years as a beloved gathering place in the Stone Oak community with a wine soaked week long celebration.
Founded in 2005 by Jeff and Angie Bridges, Copa began as a small wine and liquor store before evolving into the cozy and welcoming wine bar it is today. Over the past two decades, Copa has become a destination for wine lovers, food enthusiasts, and those seeking a place to unwind with friends and family. Jeff and Angie, longtime San Antonio residents, played a significant role in shaping San Antonio’s culinary scene, including pioneering the Fiesta event, Taste of Northside. Though Angie has since passed, her legacy of hospitality, warmth, and passion for great wine, delicious food, & having a great time lives on through Copa, where Jeff continues to share his expertise in the weekly “Wine of the Week” segment, highlighting unique wines and their stories.
To commemorate this milestone, Copa Wine Bar will host a week-long anniversary celebration from April 21st to April 26th, featuring special promotions on wine, beer, and a carefully curated Spanish tapas platter. Guests can enjoy $20 glasses of Sota de Espada 2005 Fortified Wine, a vintage from the year Copa opened, as well as $20 carafes of Sangria and Mimosas. Additional specials include 20% off all cellar wines and full bottles of sparkling wines, 20% off all beers, and a Spanish Tapas Platter for $20, featuring Spanish chorizo, conservas (tinned fish), Manchego cheese, olives, almonds, pickled sweet peppers, cornichons, chili peach jam, and roasted red pepper aioli, served with crostini.

“Words cannot express our gratitude for your continued support of Copa Wine Bar. Angie, Katy, Paul, and I wanted to make a neighborhood wine bar. A place that was part of the community and not just in it. I never thought I’d have to celebrate this milestone without Angie, but your support and well wishes have dulled the pain. Thank you for 20 years of good times, good food, good wine, and most importantly, good people. Here’s to another 20 years!”
Jeff Bridges, owner of Copa Wine Bar
