It’s the Return of Live Fire Dinners at this River Walk Restaurant

Live Fire Dinners at Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails are back by popular demand happening every Saturday. The Lone Star State-inspired restaurant will host outdoor grill outs overlooking the River Walk every Saturday, offering the perfect al fresco dining experience for the spring.

Every Saturday evening, guests can take in views of the river on the Ambler Texas Kitchen + Cocktails Patio and enjoy a cowboy-style, live-fire cooking from Chef Michael Collins.

Located within the intimate boutique Hotel Contessa, Ambler will transform its patio into a lively backyard party. The chef-driven, Texas cowboy-inspired grilled specials will change weekly, and guests can enjoy live music from local country artists from 5-9 p.m. on Ambler’s River Patio.

The pre-fixed menu will feature elevated, Texas-style dishes with all the fixin’s, served family-style. As an example for a menu, guests can enjoy dishes, such as the House Bread & Ranch Style Buttermilk Biscuits, complete with whipped cinnamon butter and house jam, Shiner Bock Battered Jumbo Shrimp,and a Crisp Steakhouse Wedge, served family style. Other menu options could include a choice of Mesquite Smoked & Grilled Texas Akaushi Cowboy Bone-In Ribeye Steak, Cast Iron Seared Rack of Lamb, Blackened Texas Bay Redfish, or Mesquite Smoked Beer Can Gonzales Texas ½ Chicken.Sides could include dishes such as Mesquite Smoked Brisket “Loaded” Mac & Cheese, Roasted Street Corn “Off the Cobb” and Cast Iron Scalloped Potatoes.The meal will conclude with a sweet finale.

Reservations are encouraged, as the patio has limited seating availability, and are available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Open Table or calling Ambler directly. Pricing varies based on entree selection. Live Fire Dinners are only available on the patio and can be purchased for $79-$129 (including the meal and a welcome drink) per person.
